Vilma has more than 15 years of teaching experience including 8 years of elementary school instruction in her home country. Vilma studied elementary education in Guatemala with an emphasis in child psychology. She obtained her California teaching credentials from Diablo Valley College.

Vilma came to KISS in 2005 as a teacher for our 2 year olds. Since 2007, Vilma has been the lead teacher of the 3 year olds class at the Walnut Creek campus.

Vilma is an afficionado of classical music and opera. Among her favorite works is Aida, in particular the grand march in Act II. She is the mother of two children: her daughter, a biologist, and her son who is studying political science.
