CLASS RATIOS

All programs are Spanish Immersion.

CHILD CARE

The child care facilities are open to children from ages 2 years to age 6.

Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. daily

Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance for reservations or cancellations so we will be properly staffed.

Snack: Pretzels, fresh fruits, vegetables, and juice are provided.

Lunch: Please send a nutritious lunch with your child—no junk food, please. Juice is provided. Children are not permitted to share their food, and any leftovers will be sent home so you will know what your child has consumed.

Pricing Policy: Parents using a KISS child care facility will be charged on a time used basis.

DISABILITY RIGHTS AND NONDISCRIMINATION POLICY

KISS is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination and equal access for all children, including children with disabilities and/or special medical needs, as provided in Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act, accompanying federal regulations, and applicable California law. If you notify us that your child has a disability and/or a special medical need, KISS will, as required by law, make an individual assessment of its ability to accommodate those needs, including, if necessary, reasonably modifying KISS’ policies, practices and procedures to ensure your child’s full and equal enjoyment of the goods and services provided by KISS.

ADMISSIONS

Admissions are based on availability of space and determination by the staff that a child is ready to benefit from the environment. Prospective parents are asked to observe twice first without their child so they may focus on our environment, then with their child so they may focus on her or his reaction to our environment.

Please make an appointment to avoid disruptions resulting from too many adults in the classroom. Children from the youngsters and preschool classes and the siblings of current students are given preference. Consideration is also given to the age balance of the class. A completed application, accompanied by cash or check for one entire tuition installment, should be submitted to the school. If enrollment is not completed, the funds submitted with the application are nonrefundable unless KISS cannot accept the child.

KISS admits students of any race, color, or national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. KISS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational and athletic programs and policies or any other programs and policies offered.

TUITION

School year tuition is based on a 180 day school year. It may be paid in a lump sum (to qualify for a discount) or in 10 installments (for 18 school days). Hourly child care is payable by the 15th of the month the bill is received. A late payment fee is charged after the I8th of the month.

WITHDRAWALS/REFUNDS

In the event you wish to withdraw your child from school, you need to provide one month’s written notice in advance or pay one month’s tuition. Any credit remaining after prorating the tuition and child care charges will be refunded to you within I month after the last date of attendance. NO WITHDRAWALS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER April Ist. There are no refunds for absences such as vacations, sickness, mishaps and holidays not on KISS’ calendar. There are no substitutions for days missed.

NO TOLERANCE POLICY

We try to create a healthy and safe environment for all children. We have a no tolerance policy when it comes to violence.
